Neve Campbell plays the leading role of "Sidney Presscott". Her mother was found raped and murdered exactly one year before the murder of "Casey". At the time, "Cotton Weary" was blamed for the murder and therefore was sentenced to prison. After years of peace, the ghost-faced murderer has risen from the ashes and is now targeting "Sidney" as his next victim, but during their first encounter she manages to escape the masked-killer's wrath. Due to the killings and the mass panic they were causing, the entire town is put on lockdown, but even this didn't seem to stop the young teens from throwing a party. During the party, the assassin strikes again, but this time "Sidney" and her friend "Gale" are able to stop him...
