Paget Brewster, who plays "Emily Prentiss", joined the cast with the start of season two and was apparently killed in the middle of the sixth season, only to turn up alive and well for the season seven premiere! However, she left the show at the end of the seventh season. She moved on to a part on the sitcom "Community" and followed that up with a lead on "Grandfathered", which was cancelled after one season. In 2016, she came back to "Criminal Minds" for the 12th season and has been a series regular ever since!
