The classic fish-out-of-water story of “Mick Dundee” still is most successful Australian production of all time, grossing over $47 Million Dollars, and it also brought Paul Hogan a Golden Globe Award as the Best Actor in a Comedy. Hogan reprised his role for two more films, but they couldn’t live up to the success of the first one. He later appeared in films such as “Lightning Jack”, which also wasn’t a real hit at the box office. He was last seen in the Australian production “Charlie & Boots” in 2009.
