Back in the 50s, Garland was already know for her role of the strong, independent woman. She played the town´s sheriff in the western film "Gunslinger", in 1956, as well as run-away convict in "Swamp Woman" in 1955. After "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" she played in the series "7th Heaven". Garland sadly passed away in 2008 at the age of 82.
