Charmian Carr actually studying in San Fernando Valley State College at the time she auditioned for the role of "Liesl von Trapp" After her role in the movie, Carr moved on to play a number of small roles in different shows before leaving show business for good. She also owned an interior design company, and wrote two books before passing in 2016 at the age of 73.
