Stieg Larsson created one of the last decades most memorable heroines in his 'Millenium' trilogy, hacker extraordinaire "Lisbeth Salander", who gives a whole new meaning to the concept of girl power- misogynists beware. The tough/fragile psychological paradox that is "Lisbeth" is back, along with journalist crusader "Mikael Blomkvist", this year in the film adaptation of "The Girl in the Spider's Web".The film has everything one could possibly want from a thriller, with the appearance of "Lisbeth's" evil twin, artificial intelligence, an eight-year-old savant, some audacious hacking on "Lisbeth's" part and, of course, the odd violent psychopath. Filming has just started this January in Berlin and Stockholm, with Claire Foy taking over the role of Lisbeth Salander. The film will be released in late 2018 and looks set to be one of the most refreshing thrillers of the last few years.
