Jimmy Smits was on the show from the shows debut in 1986 all the way up to 1992. He has since then be very active in show business playing major roles popular shows such as "NYPD Blue", "The West Wing", "Dexter" and "Sons of Anarchy". He was also in two of the now eight "Star Wars" movies.
