After several smaller roles in other TV and Film productions, Betty Thomas was given the oppourtunity to direct certain episodes of "Hooperman" which led to a mid-ranged directing career. She directed several TV movies such as "My Breast", "That Guy", and "The Loop" as well as feature films like "Dr. Dolittle", "I Spy" and "John Tucker Must Die".
