John Mahoney moved on to star in other minor roles in shows such as "In Treatment" and "Hot in Cleaveland" as well as movies like "Kronk's New Groove", "Dan in Real Life" and "Flipped". His very last role was in "The Rembrandt" from September until November of 2017. Mahoney passed away due to complications with throat cancer on February 4, 2018.
