Don Knotts had his big break as "Barney Fife" on "The Andy Griffith Show", a 1960s sitcom for which he earned five Emmy awards. His roles after "Three's Company" were rather sporadic with several different guest appearances in movies and shows like "Big Bully" (1996) and "Ghost World" (2001). Knotts was in a total of three marriages with his most recent lasting from 2002 until his passing in 2006 with Frances Yarborough. He was succeeded by his son and daughter, Thomas and Karen Knotts.
