They're THE couple in "How I Met Your Mother". "Marshall" and "Lily" have been together since college, but shortly before their wedding, "Lily" leaves her fiancé and goes to live in San Francisco. She deeply regrets her decision however, and so she returns and begs "Marshall" to forgive her. They get married in front of their friends first, before getting married in front of their families.
