Her career started in the early 1990s and since then she has appeared in more than 40 television and film productions. In 2014 Cate Blanchett won her second Oscar for her role in the Woody Allen film “Blue Jasmine”, after already winning the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 2004 for her portrayal of Katherine Hepburn in Martin Scorsese’s “The Aviator”. Fun fact: To this day, she is the her the only actor to win an Oscar for portraying another Oscar-winning actor (Katherine Hepburn).
