At some point, "Charlie" is the last child left in the tour group. As a treat for making it all the way to the end of the tour, "Wonka" states that he will give him the factory, on the condition that he leaves his family behind for good. "Charlie" can not accept this offer. However, when he helps "Willy Wonka" reconcile with his father, he gives him the factory anyway and, this time, he is allowed to take his family with him.
