Catherine O´hara played the role of loving mother "Kate" in the hit movie "Home Alone". She started her acting career in the mid 70s, but later moved on to writing scripts in the mid 80's and even received an Emmy for one of them in 1982. She returned to acting after a short while starring in Emmy nominated movies such as "Heartburn" and "Best of Show". She is still going strong, playing roles in feature films such as "Where the Wild Things Are" and "Kiss & Kill". Interestingly enough, she was also musician working with the Band Northern Lights for a short period of time. She has been working as a Product Designer since 1992 and is currently married to Bo Welch with whom she has two sons.
