Heath Ledger died on January 22, 2008 from a mixture of prescription medication he had taken. Antidepressants, sleeping pills, and sedatives were found on his bedside table. A medical examination confirmed that his death was in fact an accident. The combination of sleeping pills and sedatives cost him his life.
