Eighty-nine-year-old James Ivory became the oldest Oscar winner ever this year. The director and screenwriter had been nominated three times previously. He won the award for "Best Adapted Screenplay" for his work on "Call Me by Your Name" this year and accepted the award in a snazzy shirt with a picture of the film's star Timothée Chalamet on it.
