“Joey Potter” (Katie Holmes) and “Dawson Leery” (James van der Beek) are basically best friends, but “Dawson” always had feelings for his beautiful friend. “Joey” is torn between her long-time friend and “Pacey” (Joshua Jackson), whom she likes as well. Although it starts out in a very romantic way with “Dawson”, she ends up deciding to be with “Pacey” after all.
