In celebration of their 70th wedding anniversary, the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh released this portrait in 2017. Elizabeth reportedly already fell in love with Philip when she was just 13 years old and what started out with love letters was later fortified at Westminster Abbey, when the two got married on November 20th of 1947. They went on to have four children and by now are even five-fold great grandparents! Their marriage has outlasted wars, 13 British Prime Ministers and multiple decades of worldwide changes. Their determination and stamina is exemplary and should be a role model for many young couples!
