The "Riptide" gang consisted of Perry Kind, "Cody Allen", Joe Penny, "Nick Ryder", and Thom Bray, "Dr. Murray 'Boz' Bozinsky". The three veterans ran a detective agency in their cabin cruiser "Riptide" at the King Harbor, south of Los Angeles. With with the help of their speedboat, "Ebbtide", and their chopper, "Screaming Mimi", they're able to solve dozens of cases.
