"Arthur Branch" is elected District Attorney in 2002, replacing "Nora Lewin" in the process. One of the reasons for his election was the population's concern for better safety after the attacks of 9/11. He is considered a slightly extreme legal and political conservative which often leads to conflict with other co-workers such as "Jack McCoy".
