In "Fatal attraction", family man "Dan Gallagher" has an affair with his colleague "Alex". When "Dan" does not return "Alex's" feelings however, she threatens him and his family. At the end of the film, she attacks both "Dan" and his wife "Beth" with a knife. "Dan" attempts to overpower her, but is not quite successful. In the end, "Beth" shoots "Alex". Originally, "Alex" was not meant to be shot, but was meant to commit suicide instead.
